Day 138
A majestic sunrise.
The sun pierced through the thick clouds, dispersing the light, welcoming us to a freezing morning to start another day.
We continued our ascent on the cloud covered trail towards Grizzly Peak. Fall weather has finally came. Leaves are starting to change colors. The breeze feels chilly. We often find ourselves taking on and off our rain/wind jackets throughout the day as the terrain changed.
Lunch breaks near creeks and rivers in the pine, covered forest definitely required putting our insulated jackets on.
We entered Glacier Peak Wilderness. Reflection Pond was our destination that night, which offered a nice mirror image of the top of Glacier Peak, with a hill obstructing the lower portion.
Amazingly beautiful colors
The thick clouds came in as we were eating dinner, darkness sets in, and the temperature continued to dropped. I soon entered in my tent, and snuggled up in my warm quilt, and drifted to sleep.
