Day 18

It was a short hiking day today as I looked forward to getting to Big Bear Lake for some rest... And the usual chores we hikers have to do.

Very excited to get to Big Bear

Grocery shopping and deciding what to eat for the next 103 miles on the trail is an adventure. At the market, each isle is a treat for the eyes, searching for what can offer me the most common calories and protein, while remaining tasteful (very important), somewhat healthy, and not too heavy in actual weight. It's also quite interesting to see what other hikers choose.

Yes good food at Teddy Bear Restaurant with great friends,

It was fun staying at Big Bear Hostel. And I was actually glad I opted from staying at the trail angel's Papa Smurf as I later learned down the trail that some kind of flu was going on there.

There was a little bit of entertainment later in the hostel as two hikers, Blis and Frederick, showed off a dance routine. I highly recommend watching the video. Below is just a screenshot. It was a good day as we get ready again to hit the trail the next day.

Frederick and Blis providing some entertainment for us.
