Day 28

The first half of the day involved hiking amongst the clouds. It's such a different scenery, but overall wonderful.

This section involved careful attention on the trail as Poodle Dog Bush, similar to poison oak, are found along the trail. Luckily none have invaded the trail requiring finding an alternate route. Along with this, a constant keen observation is required for other animals especially snakes.

Reaching a closed ranger station (from a recent fire) provided relief as they maintain a water cache in a long waterless stretch. This is also the point where the trail starts to point in the northern direction and completes the circumnavigation around the City of Angels. It was quite windy so I decided to hike on and found a quiet place to camp for the night.
