Day 45

Zero days tend to go by fast. It's like having only a one day weekend. After enjoying a peaceful, wind-free night in a run down motel, I moved to the RV Park for the following night, where most hikers chose to settle in town. It was quite nice and I actually preferred being able to lay inside my tent and organize everything. It's like my own little space.

Breakfast of champions

After a really delicious breakfast at Nelda's Cafe, it was time to go about our usual chores in town.

Also time for some new kicks on these Altra Lone Peaks. Although my shoes are holding up, I needed something with good traction going into the Sierra.

Later in the night, we enjoyed delicious burgers and beers as we watched the final game of the NBA finals in a local bar. The night ended with everyone relaxing around the warm campfire back in the campground.
