Day 91

Refreshing!

Even with a tree-covered trail, it was an intensely hot day. After lunch, we yawned our way down to the Middle Fork of the Feather River. The sight of the long bridge spanning across the canyon was met with awed, especially as we crossed it. Well of course before crossing it we had to take a little dip in the water as we needed to cool off our bodies in this very hot day.

It was such a morale boost to be able to wash away the dirt and dust that has accumulated daily on our bodies, and the funk that we hiker trash are known for. A quick wash of our filthy clothes made it a tad cleaner, even if it will only last for a few hours. We all felt like a new person individually as we climb up the mountain later that afternoon.
