Day 104
Beautiful sunrise over Toad Lake and Mt Shasta
We s tarted the early morning hike with a beautiful sunrise with Mt. Shasta right beside it. After so many days we're finally going past around it.
It was another hot day, although the cool breeze is felt whenever we're in the shade. Today was a relatively easy hiking compared to other days, as there was no big and steep involve inclines involved.
Trail magic from Busted right by Hwy 3
We ended our day at Hwy 3, where an injured hiker named "Busted," who we met back in Belden, provided trail magic for us fellow PCT family. He injured his foot as he was hiking out of Chester, as I remember his hiking partner Winter camped with us that night expressing worries as to why he didn't make it. This trail magic brought a good number of hikers together, the most I've seen on the trail since entering the Sierra, more than 800 miles back. It's great to see so many hikers.
