Day 88
A quick stop at the Peter Grubb Hut, an anomalie on the PCT, since there are no established shelters on this trail. It's a ski shelter that is also used by hikers in the summer. It reminded me of shelters on the Appalachian Trail, but this one is much bigger.
Caitlin played the guitar and it was soothing to the ears. Blis also joined in on the jam.
We then continued our hike where the numbers of PCT hikers who skipped ahead and now going southbound to the Sierra continued to increase.
I ran into "Coma," who I hiked with for a couple of days more than two months ago. He hikes in crocks sandals. He said he's probably the most flip-flop hiker on the trail, no pun intended, as he flipped to different sections on the PCT so many times that he can't keep up where he went where. He enlightened us about the upcoming eclipse on August 21st and that mile 2,034, was the best place for a total eclipse.
This total eclipse only happens rarely, and probably once in my lifetime. We'll have to see where we'll be in this very exciting event.
