Day 39
Looking back, I believe this is where Mono started on the trail.
Luckily I didn't join this hot tub party and just soaked my legs for a few minutes.
Back to business, or perhaps work. After breakfast, we discussed our plans for the Sierra, as Tehachapi is the last place to send food for Kennedy Meadows, the beginning of the Sierra Nevada. Also this is the last place to order any gear online that I may not have from back home.
After heading to the post office to pick up a couple of packages, it was time to do our usual resupply. This is not our normal resupply however because it requires buying food for the first section leaving Kennedy Meadows. Also since there is the limitation of a bear canister, finding calorie dense food for the Sierra was optimal. It was a bit of a hassle getting around town with greater distances without a vehicle. Soaking my legs in the hot tub to end the day was perfect. In the end, it's just another day in the city as a thru-hiker.
