Day 129
We eagerly entered Goat Rocks Wilderness, as I've been told by Ayesha "Heaps" that's it's an amazing section.
It's been a terribly hot day. As we came up the ridge before Cispus Pass, we were greeted with an unbelievably amazing view of Goat Rocks. I was awed with how beautiful this place is.
We were warned by southbounders that we needed to slow down in this section, and they were absolutely correct. I haven't stopped this much to take so many photos since the Sierra.
Now going up towards the Goat Rocks ridge section
Looking back towards the South with the sun setting soon
Apparently the best campsite with an amazing view of the sunset, the Goat Rocks, and for tomorrow's sunrise
Sun setting as we were going up Old Snowy
That afternoon I also hiked through a snowfield, which I thought I was done with. That night, we settled camped on Old Snow Mountain. The thick cloud prevented us a good sunset view, as the sun disappeared an hour before sunset, as it descended in the horizon.
It was a very windy night, but our tired body didn't care, as we went to bed, hoping to have a clear day in the morning.
