Day 42
It was nice being surrounded by big pine trees. Being still in the desert, it was quite a surprise. It makes hiking during the hottest part of the day much more enjoyable. It also means being able to hike the entire day, which I prefer.

It was a surprise when a trail magic appeared in the middle of nowhere. "Santa's Helper" is currently hiking the trail and decided to provide trail magic to his fellow hikers. It was very nice to be provided with snacks and cold drinks when you least expect it. The trail truly brings out the best in people.
Decided to get some shorts finally. Didn't realize it was very short. The negatives of ordering from Amazon. This was eventually tossed out in Kennedy Meadows.
