Day 7
Despite feeling tired and the lack of sleep from last night, it was time to once again unpeel my eyes, pack and start walking before sunrise. Having covered a much needed miles yesterday, today was relatively easy.
I rested by the piped spring for 4 hours and then later discovered there was trail magic about a 100 yards away. I therefore probably spent another hour there. And the food was so good! When hiking every day, pretty much food is always on my thoughts. I am very grateful of the trail angel community.
And there it is, I made it to Eagle Rock
This is one of my favorite photos on the trail. It's a photo that captures the moment without words.
A gorgeous sunset
I waited for sunset at a very popular landmark on the trail, at Eagle Rock, then hiked down to Warner Springs just in time to find a place to pitch my tent at the grounds in the community center. Now time for a planned zero to get my resupply food and rest my feet.
