Day 14

The ascent to Mt. San Jacinto was a tough one. Perhaps a day off from hiking took away my hiking legs, although I know that zero days will definitely benefit me in the long run. Perhaps it's the elevation wanting to me stop every few minutes to catch my breath. After all, San Jacinto is at 10,834 ft.

Nevertheless I reached the peak of the mountain where a shelter also resides. It was a clear day and the 360 degree view was amazing.

I also love this photo at the shelter of San Jacinto peak with all the PCT hikers just resting.

Inside the shelter

And the way we go. There was also a lot of snow on the way down, where switchbacks did not exist as it was all covered with snow. And once we got low enough, the normal little streams had heaps amount of water, where keeping your shoes dry became a challenge.
