Day 82
After a short morning hike, well I say short but it was still a little over 10 miles, we made it to Echo Lake. Surprisingly I didn't take any photo on this morning. I don't really know why.
From Echo Lake Chalet, Enterprise picked us up since I rented a vehicle to use while in town. The employee must have been shocked picking up five stinky hikers that hasn't showered in four days. And besides, stink tends to cling in our clothes and packs so there's that. It's been 3 months since I've driven a car so we'll see. The reason for opting a rental was because Indigo found as a cabin to stay in for free in Tahoma, less down an hour drive from South Lake Tahoe. Not having a car would make it a bit cumbersome.
South Lake Tahoe.
Oh I'm so glad we're here. I've been looking forward for a double zero since we left Bishop. First stop was of course food. So after getting all the paperwork done at the rental company, we headed for sushi, and not just any sushi, it's all you can eat sushi at Sushi Pier Tahoe. It was like a dream! We didn't care that we were stinky. All we cared was that we were hungry and we wanted good food. And it was amazing! I highly recommend it. Possibly one of my best town meal.
All you can eat Sushi at Sushi Pier Tahoe. Best all you can eat I've ever had!
Thanks Blis for recommending an all you can eat sushi! The best!
Caitlin can't believe there's so much sushi!
The cabin we stayed out was out of town, therefore it was nice and quiet. It was the perfect place to rest our minds and bodies. We then enjoyed the night by cooking meals, where we had fresh green salads, pizza, barbecue, and of course, my favorite beer, Deschutes Black Butte. This is what a zero should be and today is barely a Nero.
Cooking for dinner
All freshened up! Of course, when we're wearing our rain gear, that mean we're doing laundry.
