Day 13


I've looked forward into having a zero day in Idyllwild and it was such a relaxing day.

This town is a gem. There is no traffic light and all businesses are locally owned. And the amazing thing is meeting Mayor Max along with his golden retriever deputies. No wonder Idyllwild is voted one of the favorites trail town on the entire PCT.

I accidentally burned the plastic on my trucker hat on the heater, so a bucket hat it is.

It is once again great to see fellow thru hikers arriving into town like a little celebration of our progress in our journey. Although​ it also means a busy stop over for us, as we do our usual chores like getting a shower, doing laundry, tasting the local eateries, grocery shopping for the next five-day stretch. At the end of the day, it was a good way to let my body rest.
